It is comfortable in the city, but it is not a small urban vehicle. The high seating position, light steering and strong low-speed torque make traffic manageable, while rear AC vents help keep the large cabin comfortable. However, Dhaka's stop-and-go traffic can reduce diesel mileage significantly, and the vehicle's size makes tight parking more difficult.

Routine maintenance is relatively manageable because Toyota parts and mechanics are widely available. Oil, filters, brake components, tyres and suspension parts are straightforward to service, although diesel-system components can become expensive if neglected. For a well-maintained vehicle, routine annual maintenance may be around Tk 25,000–45,000, while older or high-mileage vehicles should have a larger repair reserve.

Check the chassis/VIN, manufacturing year, service history, engine condition, turbocharger, injector performance, clutch, gearbox, suspension, steering, AC and electrical systems. Inspect the underbody for accident damage and corrosion. For used or reconditioned units, check previous accident repairs, odometer consistency, diesel-system condition, DPF/emission equipment where applicable, tyre age and suspension wear.

The biggest disadvantages are its large size, relatively heavy fuel consumption in congested city traffic, dated driver-assistance technology and high purchase price in Bangladesh. The diesel engine is also noisier than modern petrol-hybrid alternatives. Higher grades are much better equipped, but they can become expensive in the Bangladesh import market.
