Toyota Australia has issued a recall notice for the 2012-13 86, over concerns about the valve springs in their engines.
The campaign is the same one we reported on the Subaru BRZ, Impreza, Forester and XV this morning. The issue could make the valve springs crack, resulting in a sudden power loss while driving and a risk of the vehicle not restarting.
A total of 5407 units are included in the campaign – a VIN list is attached here.
Toyota will contact owners of the affected vehicles and advise them to get in touch with their nearest dealer for a free fix when parts become available.
