Toyota Yaris Cross X Hybrid price in Bangladesh starts around Tk 30 - 40 lakh, price depending on model year, auction grade, mileage, condition and equipment
The Yaris Cross X Hybrid uses a 1,490cc M15A-FXE three-cylinder engine with 91 PS engine output and a front electric motor producing 80 PS and 141 Nm. Toyota's official specification does not publish a factory 0–100 km/h figure for this grade, so approximately 11 seconds is a reasonable real-world reference rather than an official Toyota claim. The car uses ventilated disc brakes at the front and disc brakes at the rear, supported by ABS, Brake Assist, EBD and regenerative braking.
A realistic Bangladesh expectation is approximately 20–25 km/L in city driving, 25–30 km/L on highways and around 22–27 km/L combined. Heavy Dhaka traffic, continuous AC use, short journeys and aggressive acceleration can reduce fuel economy.
The Yaris Cross range includes X, G and Z grades, with petrol and hybrid versions and FWD or E-Four configurations depending on model year. The X is the practical entry grade and focuses on efficiency and essential equipment. The G adds more comfort and convenience equipment, while the Z provides the more premium specification with larger wheels and additional equipment. The X is particularly suitable if you want the Yaris Cross body, hybrid economy and Toyota reliability without paying the higher price of the Z package.
Yes. The Yaris Cross X has approximately 170 mm of ground clearance, giving it a useful advantage over low sedans on Bangladesh's speed breakers, potholes and uneven urban roads. It is still a compact crossover rather than a proper off-road SUV, so deep potholes and badly broken roads should be approached carefully. Its 4.18-metre length also works well in Dhaka because the vehicle is easier to manoeuvre through narrow streets and parking areas. The suspension provides a reasonable balance between everyday comfort and highway stability.
Routine maintenance is generally manageable, particularly because Toyota parts and servicing knowledge are widely available in Bangladesh. A normal oil and filter service can typically cost around Tk 5,000–10,000, depending on oil, filters and labour. A reasonable routine-maintenance budget is around Tk 15,000–30,000 per year, excluding tyres and major repairs. With a reconditioned Yaris Cross, it is sensible to keep additional money available for suspension components, brakes, tyres, the 12V battery and hybrid-system diagnostics. Checking the hybrid battery condition is particularly important when purchasing an older imported unit.
Start with the Japanese auction sheet, chassis number, auction grade and mileage history. Inspect the exterior carefully for accident repairs, repainting, replaced panels, rust and flood damage. Check the hybrid battery, 12V battery, engine, e-CVT and regenerative braking system. Test the AC, infotainment, cameras, parking sensors, power windows, smart key and all electrical equipment. Inspect the suspension, brakes, steering and tyres. If the car has an unusually low price compared with similar Yaris Cross X listings, carefully investigate the auction history and mechanical condition before making a decision.
The biggest disadvantages are basic interior equipment, limited rear-seat space and fewer premium features than the G and Z grades. The X grade does not provide the leather steering wheel, power driver's seat or alloy wheels found on higher specifications. Performance is also deliberately economy-focused rather than sporty. The rear cabin is adequate for normal family use but does not provide the space of a larger crossover. For Bangladesh, the X's standard 16-inch wheel and 205/65R16 tyre combination can actually be practical on rough roads, but the overall equipment level is clearly more functional than luxurious.
The Yaris Cross X makes sense if you want a Toyota hybrid crossover with good fuel economy, useful ground clearance, compact dimensions and straightforward everyday usability. It is especially suitable for city driving, where the hybrid system and elevated driving position are genuinely useful. The main reason to choose the X over the G or Z is value: you get the core Yaris Cross platform and hybrid powertrain without paying for every premium feature. If you want leather, larger wheels, a more premium interior and additional equipment, the higher grades are worth comparing.
