Toyota Tundra Hybrid price in Bangladesh is estimated at around Tk 80 lakh–1.30 crore for a brand-new model.price can vary considerably according to the Limited, Platinum, 1794 Edition, TRD Pro or Capstone trim, 2WD/4WD configuration, importer margin, shipping, taxes and registration costs.
The 3.4L twin-turbo V6 hybrid produces 437 hp and 790 Nm, giving the Tundra Hybrid extremely strong acceleration for a full-size pickup. A realistic 0–100 km/h estimate is approximately 5.5–6.0 seconds, depending on configuration and road conditions. It uses large four-wheel disc brakes with ABS, EBD, Brake Assist and electronic stability control for confident stopping.
For Bangladesh driving, expect approximately 6–8 km/L in city traffic, 9–11 km/L on highways and 7–9 km/L combined. Dhaka traffic, frequent air-conditioning use, heavy acceleration, payload and 4WD operation can reduce mileage further. Toyota's official US estimate for the hybrid reaches 20 mpg city and 24 mpg highway, but Bangladesh traffic conditions make lower real-world figures more appropriate.
The current hybrid range includes Limited, Platinum, 1794 Edition, TRD Pro and Capstone, with equipment varying by configuration. Limited provides strong equipment without reaching the highest luxury level. Platinum and 1794 Edition add more premium features, while TRD Pro focuses on off-road capability. Capstone is the most luxury-oriented configuration.
Tundra Hybrid is capable on Bangladesh's rough roads because of its high ground clearance, strong chassis and available 4WD. However, its approximately six-metre length and more than two-metre width create a very different problem: Dhaka's narrow roads, crowded markets and small parking spaces. It is considerably easier to use on highways, open roads and rural areas than in congested central Dhaka.
The hybrid powertrain makes low-speed driving smooth and gives you enormous torque, but the truck's physical size is the bigger issue. In Dhaka, parking, U-turns, narrow lanes and congested streets require considerably more space than a Hilux or normal SUV. Cameras, parking sensors and available Panoramic View Monitor are therefore particularly useful.
Routine maintenance can reasonably require around ৳50,000–1,00,000 per year, excluding fuel, tyres, insurance and major repairs. Imported parts can be expensive, and hybrid-specific components require technicians familiar with the i-FORCE MAX system. Toyota Canada lists 8-year/160,000km coverage for hybrid-related components and 10-year/240,000km coverage for the hybrid battery in its market, although Bangladesh warranty coverage depends on the importer.
Check the VIN, exact model year, i-FORCE MAX specification, 2WD/4WD configuration, trim, manufacturing date, warranty and import documents. Test the hybrid system, 10-speed transmission, AC, infotainment, cameras, parking sensors, power seats, tailgate and all safety systems. Also confirm whether Toyota connected services will actually function in Bangladesh rather than assuming every US-market connected feature will work locally.
The biggest disadvantages in Bangladesh are large dimensions, high purchase price, high fuel costs, limited local parts availability and the complexity of its hybrid powertrain. Although the hybrid system improves efficiency compared with the conventional Tundra V6, this remains a 3.4L twin-turbo full-size pickup. It is not an economical city vehicle.
Tundra Hybrid makes sense if you specifically need high towing capacity, strong acceleration, large cargo capacity, 4WD capability and a luxurious full-size pickup cabin. If most of your driving is inside congested Dhaka, its size and operating costs deserve serious consideration. Before purchasing, compare the complete landed price, fuel expense, parking requirements, parts availability, warranty and after-sales support with the Toyota Hilux and other large pickups.
