What is the Toyota Supra MK4 (1993-2002) price in Bangladesh?

Toyota Supra MK4 (1883-2002) price in Bangladesh is possibly ৳ 1 - 1.5 crore, but very hard to find one!

Which generation is this Supra?

This generation is A80 of Toyota Supra, available from 1993 - 2002.

How is the Toyota Supra MK4’s performance, acceleration and braking?

2JZ-GTE twin-turbo engine produces 276 hp and 427 Nm in the JDM specification, while US-market cars were rated at 320 hp and 427 Nm. A stock turbo manual can reach 100 km/h in roughly 5 seconds, depending on specification and testing conditions. The car uses powerful four-wheel disc brakes with ABS on equipped versions.

Is this Supra available as brand new, reconditioned or used in Bangladesh?

Yes, Supra is available as used car mostly, very hard to find one though

What mileage does the Toyota Supra MK4 provide in Bangladesh?

A healthy 2JZ-GTE Supra can realistically return around 5–7 km/L in heavy city traffic, 8–10 km/L on highways and approximately 6–8 km/L combined. Hard acceleration, turbo boost, modified engines, wide tyres and frequent AC use can push consumption significantly lower. In central Dhaka traffic, expecting modern Toyota sedan fuel economy would be unrealistic.

Which Toyota Supra MK4 version is best?

main Japanese turbo grades include RZ, RZ-S and GZ, while naturally aspirated versions include SZ and SZ-R. The RZ is the serious performance specification, particularly when equipped with the 2JZ-GTE and six-speed manual. The SZ/SZ-R naturally aspirated cars use the 2JZ-GE and provide a less powerful driving experience.

Is the Toyota Supra MK4 suitable for Bangladesh roads?

It can be used in Bangladesh, but you need to choose roads carefully. The approximately 135mm ground clearance, long nose and wide 1,810mm body make large speed breakers, deep potholes and severely broken roads challenging. Good-quality Dhaka roads and highways are much more suitable. The car also deserves high-quality tyres because its power and rear-wheel-drive layout can quickly expose poor grip.

Is Toyota Supra MK4 good for city driving in Dhaka?

It is usable but not particularly practical for daily Dhaka commuting. The steering and relatively compact sports-car proportions make manoeuvring manageable, but traffic creates heat, fuel consumption and clutch fatigue in manual cars. Parking can also be difficult because the car is low and wide. The MK4 makes far more sense when you have access to open roads where its engine, chassis and turbo system can actually be enjoyed.

How much does it cost to maintain a Toyota Supra MK4 in Bangladesh?

Routine servicing is not necessarily extraordinary, but specialist repairs and performance components can become very expensive. Engine oil, filters, plugs and ordinary maintenance are manageable, while turbochargers, fuel-system components, suspension parts, brakes, gearbox components and electronic parts can cost substantially more. Modified cars require an even larger maintenance reserve because custom parts and tuning systems can introduce additional expenses.

What should you check before buying a used Toyota Supra MK4?

Check the 2JZ-GTE engine, compression, turbochargers, cooling system, head gasket, oil pressure, transmission, clutch, differential, suspension, brakes and chassis. Inspect carefully for accident repairs, rust and poorly executed modifications. On modified cars, verify the ECU, injectors, fuel pump, turbo setup, intercooler, exhaust, wiring and cooling system. For a collector-quality car, originality and documentation can be nearly as important as mechanical condition.

What are the main disadvantages of the Toyota Supra MK4?

The major disadvantages are high purchase cost, very poor fuel economy, expensive specialist maintenance, limited rear-seat space and outdated safety technology. Genuine factory parts can also be difficult to source in Bangladesh. Modified cars can introduce additional reliability problems if previous engine work or tuning was not performed properly.

Should you buy a Toyota Supra MK4 in Bangladesh?

The MK4 makes sense if you specifically want a rare Japanese performance car, a 2JZ-GTE platform and an iconic enthusiast vehicle rather than an economical daily commuter. Before purchasing, inspect the chassis, engine, turbo system, gearbox and modification history professionally. A clean, documented, mechanically sound car is fundamentally different from a heavily modified vehicle assembled from multiple components.
