Toyota Sienta price in Bangladesh is approximately ৳8 lakh–৳17 lakh, depending on condition, model year, grade and import history.
This generation is XP80 of Toyota Sienta, available from 2003 - 2015.
The common first-generation 1,500cc 1NZ-FE engine produces 110 hp and 141 Nm in FF versions. The 4WD version produces approximately 105 hp and 138 Nm. FF models use a CVT, while 4WD models use a 4-speed automatic.
The Sienta takes roughly 12.5–13.5 seconds to reach 100 km/h, depending on load and test conditions. Front brakes use ventilated discs and rear brakes use leading/trailing drum brakes. ABS is available depending on grade and year.
For normal Dhaka driving, the performance is adequate, but seven passengers and luggage make the 1.5L engine noticeably less responsive during highway overtaking.
A realistic Bangladesh expectation for a healthy first-generation Sienta is approximately 8–10 km/L in Dhaka city traffic, 13–15 km/L on highways and around 11–13 km/L combined.
Toyota's original Japanese test figures were considerably higher, reaching 19.0 km/L under the old Japanese 10/15 test cycle for early FF versions. However, those laboratory figures should not be used as expected Bangladesh mileage.
Heavy Dhaka congestion, frequent AC use, passengers, tyre pressure, engine condition and driving style can all reduce actual consumption.
The first-generation Sienta was offered mainly in X and G grades, alongside X E Package, X S Edition, DICE and several special-edition versions during its long production run. Toyota's later catalogue lists X, X L Package, G and DICE variants, while 4WD versions were also available.
The X is the simpler equipment package, while G generally adds more comfort and convenience equipment. Later DICE/DICE-G versions have a more distinctive exterior and additional equipment.
For a used Sienta in Bangladesh, the condition of the engine, transmission, suspension and body is more important than choosing a particular badge.
Sienta is well suited to Dhaka's urban roads and normal paved highways, particularly because it is only about 1.7 metres wide and has a compact 5.2-metre turning radius on FF versions.
However, the approximately 140 mm ground clearance of common FF versions means you need to slow down for large Bangladeshi speed breakers and deep potholes.
The 4WD version has around 150 mm of clearance but is heavier and uses a 4-speed automatic. The Sienta is most comfortable on reasonably maintained roads rather than severely broken rural roads.
Yes. The compact body, light steering, CVT and good visibility make the Sienta easy to use in Dhaka traffic.
The biggest advantage is the sliding rear doors. They are particularly useful in crowded parking areas where conventional doors cannot open fully.
The 1.5L engine is also reasonably economical for a seven-seat MPV. However, expect lower mileage when driving through severe Dhaka congestion with the AC running continuously and the vehicle fully loaded.
A well-maintained first-generation Sienta can be relatively affordable to service because the 1NZ-FE engine is widely used across Toyota models and replacement parts are readily available in Bangladesh.
For routine servicing, a reasonable budget is approximately ৳15,000–25,000 per year, excluding fuel, tyres, insurance and major repairs. For an older 2003–2010 vehicle, keeping approximately ৳30,000–50,000 annually as a repair reserve is more realistic because suspension, AC, engine mounts, brakes, rubber components and electrical parts may need replacement as the vehicle ages.
Check the 1.5L engine, CVT or 4-speed automatic, suspension, steering, brakes, AC and sliding doors carefully.
Look for engine oil leaks, excessive smoke, abnormal engine noise, transmission hesitation, suspension knocking, steering play and weak AC performance.
Also inspect the chassis and body for accident repairs, rust, poorly matched paint and repaired structural areas. Check the condition of all seven seats, power windows, central locking, sliding-door mechanisms and electrical equipment.
For an older Sienta, a professional inspection is worthwhile because age-related mechanical condition can matter more than the odometer reading alone.
main disadvantages are low ground clearance, modest 1.5L performance, tight third-row space and outdated technology.
The first-generation Sienta was designed in an era before modern smartphone connectivity and advanced driver-assistance systems became common. You therefore will not get modern features such as adaptive cruise control, lane-centering, automatic emergency braking or factory Apple CarPlay.
The third row is also better suited to children or shorter journeys than to three full-size adults.
