Toyota Sequoia price in Bangladesh is approximately ৳30–60 lakh for used 2008–2022 models.
This generation is XK60 of Toyota Sequoia, available from 2008 - 2022.
The later 5.7L Sequoia produces 381 hp and 543 Nm, making it exceptionally powerful for a three-row SUV. A healthy 5.7L V8 can accelerate from 0–100 km/h in roughly 7.0–7.5 seconds, depending on model year, drivetrain, tyre condition and load. It uses four-wheel disc brakes with ABS, EBD and Brake Assist. Toyota does not publish a universal official 100–0 km/h braking-distance figure for the Bangladesh market, so an exact braking distance should not be assumed.
For a 5.7L V8 Sequoia, realistic Bangladesh consumption is approximately 4–6 km/L in heavy city traffic, 7–9 km/L on highways and around 5–7 km/L combined. Dhaka congestion, frequent AC use, large tyres, passenger load and aggressive acceleration can reduce fuel economy further. This is a vehicle where fuel consumption is an important part of the ownership cost.
Depending on the model year, the second-generation Sequoia was offered in grades such as SR5, Limited, Platinum, TRD Sport, TRD Pro and special editions such as Nightshade. SR5 is the simpler specification, while Limited and Platinum add luxury equipment. TRD Pro is designed around off-road use, with dedicated suspension and rugged equipment. If you mainly drive in Dhaka and on highways, the luxury-oriented grades provide more comfort; if you regularly travel off-road, TRD Pro is more purpose-built.
Yes, mechanically it handles Bangladesh roads very well, especially because of its high ground clearance, body-on-frame construction, powerful V8 and available 4WD. It is comfortable on highways and capable on broken roads. The bigger issue is its size. At roughly 5.2 metres long and over two metres wide, it can be difficult on narrow Dhaka streets, crowded markets and small parking areas. You should have adequate parking space before choosing one.
The Sequoia is comfortable in city traffic but not particularly economical or easy to manoeuvre. Its high seating position gives you excellent visibility, while parking sensors and cameras on better-equipped models help when parking. However, the 5.7L V8 consumes substantial fuel in Dhaka traffic, and the vehicle's width makes narrow roads and tight parking areas more challenging. It is much more enjoyable when you have open roads and adequate parking space.
A Sequoia costs considerably more to maintain than common Toyota models such as the Premio, Allion or Axio. A routine oil-and-filter service can commonly be around ৳10,000–20,000 or more, depending on oil, filter quality and workshop. A sensible yearly routine-maintenance budget is approximately ৳40,000–80,000, excluding tyres, major suspension work, battery, brakes and unexpected repairs. Large tyres, V8 components and imported parts can make major maintenance significantly more expensive.
Check the engine, automatic transmission, 4WD system, suspension, steering, brakes, differential, AC system and electrical equipment carefully. Look for oil leaks, overheating, abnormal V8 noise, transmission hesitation, suspension knocking and warning lights. Inspect the chassis and body for accident repairs, rust and flood damage. Check the mileage against service records and verify the VIN, import documents and registration history. On 4WD models, test the transfer case and confirm that the system engages correctly.
The biggest disadvantages are very high fuel consumption, large physical dimensions, expensive maintenance and aging technology on older models. The 5.7L V8 is powerful and durable when maintained properly, but fuel costs can become significant in Bangladesh. The vehicle can also be difficult to park in Dhaka. Older 2008–2012 examples may have noticeably older infotainment and safety technology than newer SUVs.
