Toyota Land Cruiser 300 GX price in Bangladesh is estimated at around Tk 2.40–3.60 crore in market.
The Japanese GX uses a 3.5L V6 twin-turbo petrol engine producing 415 PS and 650 Nm, connected to a 10-speed Direct Shift automatic transmission. Acceleration to 100 km/h is approximately 6.7 seconds, making the GX remarkably quick for a large five-seat 4WD SUV. Toyota specifies ventilated disc brakes at both axles, supported by ABS, EBD, Brake Assist, traction control and electronic stability control. The engine provides strong low-speed torque while the 10-speed transmission keeps acceleration smooth at higher speeds.
A realistic Bangladesh expectation is around 4–5.5 km/L in city traffic, 7–9 km/L on highways and 5–7 km/L combined. Toyota's official Japanese WLTC figure for the GX is 8.0 km/L, with a laboratory city-mode result of around 5.5 km/L. Dhaka congestion, continuous AC use, passenger load, tyre pressure and acceleration habits can push real-world consumption toward the lower end.
The current Japanese LC300 lineup includes GX, AX, VX, ZX and GR Sport. GX is the entry-level 3.5L petrol and five-seat configuration. AX and VX add more equipment and seven-seat practicality, while ZX focuses heavily on luxury. GR Sport adds specialised off-road hardware and styling. The GX suits buyers who want the Land Cruiser platform, engine, 4WD capability and Toyota durability without paying for every luxury feature. Buyers wanting ventilated seats, premium audio, advanced cameras or seven seats should look at higher grades.
Yes. The GX retains the fundamental Land Cruiser hardware: full-time 4WD, high ground clearance, low-range capability, strong body structure and sophisticated traction-control systems. Its approximately 225mm ground clearance is useful on Bangladesh speed breakers, broken roads, rural tracks and flood-affected surfaces. The suspension is comfortable enough for highways and urban roads. The major problem is its physical size. At 4.95 metres long and 1.98 metres wide, the GX is considerably harder to manoeuvre through narrow Dhaka streets than a normal family SUV.
It is comfortable but excessive for ordinary city transportation. The high seating position gives excellent visibility, the 10-speed automatic is smooth and the twin-turbo V6 provides effortless acceleration. Parking sensors help, but the GX's nearly five-metre length and two-metre width remain unavoidable. Fuel consumption is the bigger issue. In heavy Dhaka traffic, 4–5 km/L is a realistic expectation for the petrol engine. If the vehicle is primarily used inside Dhaka, buyers should understand that the Land Cruiser's strongest advantages—4WD capability, clearance and durability—may not be used very often.
A sensible routine-maintenance budget is around Tk 70,000–1.3 lakh per year, excluding fuel, insurance, tyres and major repairs. Costs can rise considerably when tyres, brakes, suspension parts or electronic components require replacement. The GX is mechanically simpler than some luxury LC300 grades because it avoids several expensive comfort features, but it still has a sophisticated twin-turbo engine, 10-speed transmission and full-time 4WD system. Genuine Toyota parts and specialist repairs remain considerably more expensive than maintenance for common Toyota sedans.
First verify the auction sheet, chassis number, auction grade, mileage and accident history. Then inspect the twin-turbo engine, cooling system, automatic transmission, 4WD system, transfer case, differentials, suspension and brakes. Scan the electronic systems for stored fault codes and test the Toyota Safety Sense functions. Inspect the chassis underneath for accident repairs or serious off-road damage. Check whether the vehicle is genuinely factory GX because some imported Land Cruisers are modified with aftermarket ZX, VXR or GR Sport body panels and equipment.
The main disadvantages are high fuel consumption, expensive ownership, large dimensions and relatively basic equipment compared with higher LC300 grades. The Japanese GX is also a five-seat vehicle, so families needing three rows should consider AX, VX or another seven-seat LC300. The 3.5L petrol engine requires premium petrol in the Japanese specification, which adds running cost. Buyers also pay a substantial amount for the Land Cruiser platform even though GX deliberately removes many luxury features found on expensive grades.
The GX makes sense for someone who wants the core Land Cruiser experience rather than maximum luxury. It provides the same basic LC300 platform, 3.5L twin-turbo engine, 10-speed automatic and full-time 4WD while avoiding some of the expensive equipment found on ZX and GR Sport. It is particularly interesting for buyers who value durability and off-road capability but do not need ventilated seats, premium entertainment or three-row seating. If luxury features and passenger capacity matter more, spending more on a higher grade may be more appropriate.
