Toyota Land Cruiser GR Sport Specifications

The representative 3.3-litre V6 twin-turbo diesel produces 309 PS and 700 Nm, paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission. The huge 700Nm torque gives the GR Sport effortless acceleration, particularly at low and medium speeds. The 0–100 km/h time is approximately 7 seconds, depending on test conditions. It uses ventilated disc brakes with ABS, EBD, Brake Assist, traction control and electronic stability control. The GR Sport's real performance advantage, however, is not straight-line acceleration but its ability to put that torque onto difficult surfaces through its sophisticated 4WD system.

A realistic Bangladesh expectation for the 3.3L diesel GR Sport is around 5.5–7 km/L in city traffic, 9–11 km/L on highways and approximately 7–9 km/L combined. Dhaka congestion, continuous AC use, heavy traffic, large tyres and frequent acceleration can reduce city mileage significantly. Toyota's Japanese WLTC figure for the current 3.3L diesel GR Sport is 9.7 km/L, but that is a laboratory test figure and should not be treated as normal Dhaka mileage.

Yes, Land Cruiser is available in all 3 conditions mostly, so you can find your preferred condition within budget.

The GR Sport is available in different markets with 3.3L V6 twin-turbo diesel and 3.5L V6 twin-turbo petrol configurations. The diesel produces 309 PS and 700 Nm and is particularly suited to buyers who drive long distances or value strong low-speed torque. The petrol produces 415 PS and 650 Nm and is significantly quicker and more powerful at higher speeds. For Bangladesh, the diesel is the more practical choice for highway travel and fuel economy, while the petrol suits buyers prioritising acceleration and refinement.

Yes. This is arguably one of the strongest reasons to buy the GR Sport. It combines full-time 4WD, low-range gearing, Multi-Terrain Select, Crawl Control, high ground clearance and GR-specific suspension hardware. Toyota also equips the GR Sport with E-KDSS, which helps manage suspension articulation and wheel contact over uneven terrain. It is therefore highly capable on broken rural roads, muddy surfaces, sand, steep tracks and flood-affected roads. The downside is its size: narrow Dhaka streets and tight parking spaces are not its natural habitat.

Yes, surprisingly so, although it is excessive for ordinary urban transportation. The diesel engine's enormous torque makes crawling through traffic effortless, while the automatic transmission and high driving position make the vehicle easy to control. Cameras, parking sensors and blind-spot monitoring are particularly useful in Dhaka. However, the GR Sport is almost two metres wide and nearly five metres long. Parking requires space, fuel consumption remains high and the five-seat Japanese diesel configuration sacrifices some of the passenger capacity available in other LC300 grades.

A sensible routine-maintenance budget is approximately Tk 80,000–1.5 lakh per year, excluding fuel, insurance, tyres and major repairs. Actual ownership costs can be higher because the GR Sport uses expensive tyres, advanced electronics, sophisticated suspension components and complex 4WD hardware. Owners should also keep a reserve for brakes, suspension, batteries, transmission servicing and diesel-system components. If the vehicle has been modified with aftermarket wheels, suspension, bumpers or electrical equipment, future maintenance costs can increase further.

Start with the auction sheet, chassis number, auction grade, mileage and accident history. Then inspect the engine, twin turbos, transmission, cooling system, brakes, steering and 4WD system. Pay particular attention to the GR-specific suspension and E-KDSS system. Test Multi-Terrain Select, Crawl Control, cameras, parking sensors and every ADAS function. Check for chassis repairs, flood damage, underbody damage and replaced airbags. Finally, verify that the GR Sport body panels, wheels, suspension components and interior equipment are factory original rather than aftermarket modifications.

The main disadvantages are very high purchase price, expensive maintenance, high fuel consumption and enormous dimensions. The Japanese-market diesel GR Sport also has only five seats, so buyers wanting maximum passenger capacity may prefer a seven-seat petrol LC300. The GR Sport's advanced off-road hardware is brilliant when used properly but expensive to repair if neglected or damaged. For someone who spends almost all of their time on paved Dhaka roads, much of its specialised hardware may rarely be used.
