Toyota esquire xi price is approximately Tk 24.5 lakh–Tk 40 lakh in Bangladesh, depending on year, engine, mileage, auction grade and condition.
Yes, particularly if your priority is seven-seat comfort, family practicality and Toyota reliability. The Hybrid Xi is especially attractive for Bangladesh because the e-CVT and hybrid system work well in stop-and-go traffic. However, buyers should inspect the hybrid battery, suspension, sliding doors and accident history carefully before buying a reconditioned example.
The 1.8L Hybrid Xi uses a 1,797cc 2ZR-FXE engine producing 99 PS, assisted by an electric motor producing up to 82 PS and 207 Nm. System output is approximately 134 hp. A realistic 0–100 km/h estimate is around 11–12 seconds. The hybrid uses ventilated disc brakes at the front and disc brakes at the rear.
The petrol Xi is substantially different, using a 2.0L 3ZR-FAE engine producing 152 PS and 193 Nm.
For the 1.8L Hybrid Xi, a realistic Bangladesh expectation is approximately 11–14 km/L in heavy city driving, 17–20 km/L on highways and 15–18 km/L combined.
Dhaka traffic, continuous AC operation, passenger load, tyre pressure and driving style can push city mileage toward the lower end. Toyota's Japanese JC08 laboratory figure was 23.8 km/L, but that should not be used as a Bangladesh real-world figure.
There are two important choices: Hybrid Xi and petrol Xi. Hybrid Xi is better for buyers who drive regularly in Dhaka and want lower fuel consumption, smoother low-speed driving and quieter operation. Petrol Xi is better for buyers who prefer a conventional 2.0L engine and want FWD or, on applicable versions, 4WD.
For most Bangladesh family buyers, I would choose the 1.8L Hybrid Xi, provided the hybrid battery and overall condition are healthy.
Absolutely. This is where the Esquire makes the most sense. The seven-seat cabin, high roof, sliding rear doors, rear air-conditioning, comfortable seating and easy passenger access make it excellent for Bangladeshi families.
It works particularly well for school runs, family trips, airport journeys and long-distance travel. The only major compromise is its size, which can make narrow Dhaka roads and cramped parking areas less convenient.
The Hybrid Xi is actually very well suited to city driving. Its electric assistance makes initial acceleration smooth, while the e-CVT eliminates conventional gear shifting. That is useful when crawling through Dhaka traffic, Gulshan, Banani, Uttara or Mirpur congestion.
Do not expect sports-car acceleration. The Esquire is designed to transport people comfortably and economically rather than attack traffic lights.
Toyota Esquire Xi was available with two different powertrains:
1.8L Hybrid Xi: petrol engine + electric motor
2.0L Petrol Xi: conventional petrol engine
The Hybrid Xi uses a 1,797cc 2ZR-FXE and 50-litre tank, while petrol Xi uses the 1,986cc 3ZR-FAE and 55-litre tank. Toyota specifies regular unleaded petrol for the Japanese-market versions.
For Bangladesh, the Hybrid Xi is better for fuel economy and city driving. The 2.0L petrol Xi is better for buyers who prefer a conventional powertrain.
Check the hybrid battery, engine, e-CVT, suspension, brakes, AC, power sliding doors, electrical systems, body condition and auction sheet.
For Hybrid Xi specifically, have the battery health checked before purchasing. Also inspect for accident repairs, flood damage, underbody damage, warning lights and inconsistent mileage.
For petrol Xi, pay particular attention to CVT behaviour, engine condition and suspension. A professional inspection and diagnostic scan are worth doing before spending Tk 30–40 lakh on a reconditioned Esquire.
