Toyota Century

If your priority is ultra-luxury, exclusivity, rear-seat comfort and Japanese craftsmanship, it is one of the most interesting cars available.

For ordinary daily transportation, however, it makes very little financial sense. A Lexus LM or high-spec Land Cruiser would be considerably easier to justify.

3.5L V6 produces 262 PS and 335 Nm, while the PHEV system produces 412 PS combined with electric motors on both axles. It uses an E-CVT and E-Four Advanced AWD.

With regular charging and sensible driving, expect approximately:

The current Century SUV is essentially a single highly specified flagship configuration, rather than an Allion/Premio-style range of G, X or G Plus grades.

For Bangladesh, I would choose a 2025–2026 model with the complete executive rear-seat equipment package, 20-inch wheels and original factory specification.

The 22-inch wheels look impressive but are less desirable on Bangladesh roads because replacement tyres are expensive and ride comfort can suffer.

For four passengers, it is extraordinary.

The rear seats are effectively individual executive chairs, with extensive adjustment, entertainment, climate control and relaxation functions.

But it only seats four people, so a family that regularly carries five or six passengers would be better served by a Lexus LM, Alphard or high-end Land Cruiser.

Mechanically, surprisingly yes. The PHEV system is smooth in stop-and-go traffic and the 185mm ground clearance is much more suitable for Bangladesh than the Century sedan's roughly 135mm clearance.

Physically, however, it is enormous at 5,205mm long and 1,990mm wide.

Dhaka's narrow roads and parking spaces remain its biggest practical problem.

Yes, the Toyota Century default is suitable for normal Bangladesh roads, with its sedan body, FWD drivetrain and hybrid power suited to everyday road use.

A Toyota Century is significantly more expensive to maintain than a Camry, Premio or Allion. A reasonable Bangladesh maintenance reserve is approximately ৳1–2 lakh or more per year, excluding fuel, insurance and major repairs. Specialist hybrid-system work, V8 components, air-conditioning components, suspension parts and genuine luxury interior parts can cost substantially more. Because Century parts and specialist technicians are limited locally, importing specific components can also increase ownership costs.
