If you want the ultimate Japanese chauffeur-style luxury sedan, yes.

It is exceptionally quiet, comfortable and prestigious. But it makes little financial sense as an ordinary daily car. The 5.0L engine, enormous body, expensive parts and specialist hybrid system make ownership considerably more demanding than a Toyota Crown or Camry.

The 4,968cc 2UR-FSE V8 produces 381 PS and 510 Nm, with the hybrid motor providing additional electric assistance. Toyota pairs it with an E-CVT and rear-wheel drive.

Performance is strong enough for a car weighing approximately 2.37 tonnes, but the Century is deliberately tuned for smooth, effortless acceleration rather than aggressive driving.

The hybrid system makes the G60 substantially more efficient than the previous-generation 5.0 V12 despite having similar displacement.

G60 is not structured like an Allion, Premio or Crown with numerous mainstream grades. It is essentially a highly specified flagship model with equipment packages and special-order configurations.

For Bangladesh, I would choose a 2019–2023 example with the full rear executive equipment package, provided the car has excellent auction history and original condition.

The rear-seat specification matters much more on a Century than chasing a cosmetic package.

For passengers, it is exceptional.

The rear cabin is enormous, the seats are extremely comfortable and Toyota designed the car specifically around chauffeured occupants. There is also a 484L luggage compartment.

It is comfortable but not convenient.

The suspension and hybrid powertrain are excellent for crawling through traffic, but a 5.335-metre-long and 1.93-metre-wide car is difficult to manoeuvre through narrow Dhaka roads and crowded parking areas.

The 5.9m turning radius also reinforces the point.

Yes, the Toyota Century 5.0 Hybrid is suitable for normal Bangladesh roads, with its sedan body, FWD drivetrain and hybrid power suited to everyday road use.

It is a petrol-electric hybrid using a 4,968cc naturally aspirated V8 and electric motor system. Toyota specifies premium unleaded gasoline.

Check the hybrid battery, V8 engine, E-CVT operation, air suspension, power rear seats, seat ventilation/massage, rear climate system, infotainment electronics, cameras, radar sensors, safety systems, brakes, tyres and accident history.

Most importantly, verify the Japanese auction sheet and mileage. On a car this expensive, a low-quality repair can cost more than the price difference between a good and bad example.
