Toyota C-HR price in Bangladesh currently ranges from approximately Tk 22 lakh to Tk 43 lakh for first-generation 2016–2023 used models. Price depends on model year, auction grade, mileage, drivetrain, condition and equipment.
The most common Japanese-market C-HR in Bangladesh is the 1.8-litre hybrid, producing 122 PS combined system output. Acceleration to 100 km/h takes approximately 11 seconds. The C-HR uses four-wheel disc brakes with ABS, EBD and Brake Assist, providing predictable braking for normal Dhaka traffic and highway driving. The 1.2-litre turbo version produces 116 PS and 185 Nm, giving stronger low-speed torque than the hybrid's petrol engine.
Toyota C-HR 1.8 Hybrid can realistically return around 16–20 km/L in city driving, 20–24 km/L on highways and approximately 18–22 km/L combined under typical Bangladesh conditions. In heavy Dhaka congestion with frequent AC use and long periods of idling, city mileage can fall below 16 km/L.
The Japanese first-generation range includes S, G, S-T, G-T, S GR Sport and S-T GR Sport, with the 1.8L hybrid used in the S/G and hybrid GR Sport versions, while the 1.2L turbo is used in S-T/G-T and petrol GR Sport versions. Hybrid models are FWD, while the turbo-petrol models were available with FWD or 4WD.
The S Hybrid suits you if fuel economy and lower purchase cost are priorities. The G Hybrid offers more equipment and a more premium cabin. GR Sport versions suit you if you prefer sportier styling and handling.
Yes, but mainly for paved city roads and highways. The C-HR is compact enough for Dhaka traffic and its suspension gives a controlled ride on normal roads. However, its approximately 140 mm ground clearance is low compared with many Bangladesh-market SUVs. Large speed breakers, deep potholes, broken roads and steep ramps require careful driving.
It is suitable for a small family, but rear-seat practicality is not its strongest point. The front cabin is comfortable and the 377-litre boot is useful, but the sloping roof and thick rear pillars make the back seat feel more enclosed. If you regularly carry four or five adults, a Corolla Cross or larger Toyota SUV is more practical.
The 8NR-FTS is a capable Toyota turbo engine, but a reconditioned example's maintenance history matters enormously. Before buying, inspect turbocharger operation, engine oil condition, cooling system, direct-injection system, CVT performance and service history. A properly maintained car can be dependable, but neglected turbocharged engines are less forgiving than naturally aspirated Toyota engines.
Check the auction sheet, chassis number, mileage history and accident history first. Then inspect the turbo engine, CVT, suspension, AC, brakes, electrical systems and underbody. Pay particular attention to accident repairs around the front structure and suspension. Also confirm whether the car is FWD or 4WD, because drivetrain affects fuel economy, weight and resale value.
Routine maintenance is generally manageable because common Toyota parts and servicing knowledge are widely available in Bangladesh. Regular expenses include engine oil, filters, brake pads, tyres, 12V battery and suspension components. For a used or reconditioned C-HR, it is sensible to keep an additional reserve for hybrid-system diagnosis, battery-related work, sensors and ADAS components because these can cost considerably more than ordinary Toyota maintenance.
The biggest disadvantages are limited rear-seat space, poor rear visibility, low ground clearance and limited rear passenger ventilation. The coupe-like roof and thick rear pillars make the C-HR look distinctive but reduce rear-seat openness and visibility. The 1.8L hybrid is also tuned more toward fuel economy than outright acceleration
