Smooth and Silent
The first thing you notice is how quiet it is. There is no engine vibration, no gear-change interruption and no traditional automatic transmission hunting for the right ratio.
The electric motor delivers its torque immediately, making city acceleration effortless. With around 204 HP and 266 Nm in the earlier Z FWD, it is not a sports car, but it has considerably more immediate response than many naturally aspirated SUVs.
City Driving
In Dhaka traffic, the electric powertrain is particularly well suited. Stop-start driving is smooth, regenerative braking recovers energy and there is no engine idling while you sit in traffic.
The challenge is energy consumption. Heavy air-conditioning use, congestion and frequent acceleration can reduce real-world range considerably compared with the laboratory figure.
Highway Driving
At highway speeds the vehicle remains stable and quiet. The long wheelbase contributes to a composed ride, while the low-mounted battery helps keep the center of gravity low.
The trade-off is weight. At roughly 1.9 tonnes, it is a substantial vehicle, and you can feel that mass during harder braking and rapid direction changes.
Bangladesh Conditions
The 180-mm ground clearance is reassuring on uneven roads, but the wide body deserves attention in narrow urban streets.
For someone with dependable home or workplace charging, the bZ4X can be a remarkably comfortable daily vehicle. For someone who regularly travels long distances without predictable access to charging, planning becomes much more important.
