Hybrid X, Hybrid G, W×B and Hybrid EX
The Axio Hybrid has been offered in several grades throughout its production life, including Hybrid X, Hybrid G, Hybrid G W×B and later Hybrid EX configurations.
Earlier Hybrid X versions focus on straightforward efficiency and practicality. Hybrid G adds more comfort and equipment, while W×B versions add a sportier appearance and more premium equipment.
The later Hybrid EX became the key late-production configuration. Toyota's official 2020–2021 catalogue identifies the Hybrid EX with the 1NZ-FXE 1.5L hybrid system, while the broader Axio range also included petrol EX variants.
Toyota's documentation from the 2022-era range continues to list the Hybrid EX and confirms the 1,140kg, 36-litre, FWD configuration.
For Bangladesh, however, grade names are only part of the story.
A reconditioned Axio can arrive with Japanese factory options, dealer-installed navigation, different wheels, cameras and other equipment. Therefore, the actual auction sheet and vehicle inspection are more informative than the badge alone.
The Hybrid EX is particularly attractive if you want the newest specification and Toyota Safety Sense.
The older Hybrid G and W×B can be attractive if you want additional styling or equipment at a lower price.
Overall, the Axio Hybrid's formula is remarkably simple.
Take a compact Toyota sedan.
Give it a proven hybrid system.
Add a CVT, excellent city efficiency, useful safety technology and Toyota's reputation for durability.
The result is not glamorous.
It is not especially fast.
But it is extremely easy to understand.
For Bangladesh, where traffic, fuel costs and narrow roads are daily realities, that simplicity is exactly why the Toyota Axio Hybrid remains so relevant.
