Bangladesh-Market Avanza
The current Bangladesh distributor lists the Avanza with a 1.5L 2NR-VE petrol engine, CVT transmission, FWD layout and seven seats.
Internationally, the current-generation Avanza has been offered in different grades and powertrain combinations depending on country. Some markets receive 1.3L and 1.5L engines, manual transmissions and different equipment levels.
1.5L Grade
The 1.5L version is the more suitable configuration when you regularly carry passengers because its 2NR-VE engine produces 105 hp and 138 Nm.
The CVT is smooth and better suited to city traffic than the older four-speed automatic used by previous-generation Avanzas.
Overall Opinion
The Avanza is an honest family MPV.
It does not pretend to be luxurious, fast or technologically revolutionary.
Instead, it gives you seven seats, useful ground clearance, a practical cabin, manageable dimensions, a simple petrol engine and Toyota's established service ecosystem.
For Bangladesh, those qualities matter.
The biggest reasons to consider it are space, practicality, ground clearance and straightforward ownership.
The reasons to think twice are its modest acceleration, basic interior materials and limited advanced safety technology.
If your daily life involves carrying family members, travelling between cities and dealing with Bangladesh's uneven roads, the Avanza's priorities make considerable sense.
It is not the most exciting Toyota.
It may, however, be one of the more useful ones.
