Toyota Allion A15 uses a 1,496cc 1NZ-FE petrol engine producing 109 PS and 136 Nm. Its performance is tuned for smooth everyday driving rather than aggressive acceleration. The 0–100 km/h time is approximately 11 seconds depending on vehicle condition and test conditions. The braking system uses ventilated discs at the front and drum brakes at the rear, supported by ABS, EBD and Brake Assist. The setup provides predictable braking for normal Dhaka traffic and highway driving.

A Toyota Allion A15 generally returns around 10–11 km/L in city driving, 14–15 km/L on highways and approximately 12 km/L combined under typical Bangladesh conditions. Dhaka traffic, frequent air-conditioner use, short trips, tyre condition, engine condition and driving style can reduce city mileage. Highway mileage can improve considerably when driving at steady speeds.

The main A15 range includes the A15, A15 G Package and A15 G Plus Package. The standard A15 focuses on essential equipment and lower purchase cost. The G Package adds useful comfort and convenience equipment, while the G Plus Package offers a more premium specification with additional equipment such as upgraded interior trim, smart entry/start-related equipment and higher-grade features depending on model year. For a daily family car, the G Package offers a practical balance, while G Plus is suited to those who want more equipment and a more premium experience.

Toyota Allion A15 works well on Dhaka city roads, major highways and paved roads across Bangladesh. Its 160 mm ground clearance is adequate for normal roads but requires care over large speed breakers, deep potholes and badly damaged streets. The suspension provides a comfortable ride and the 2,700 mm wheelbase gives the sedan good stability on longer journeys. Its relatively narrow 1,695 mm body also makes it manageable in congested urban areas. On severely broken or unpaved roads, a higher-clearance vehicle is more practical.

The steering is light enough for urban manoeuvring, while the 5.3-metre turning radius is useful in tighter streets and parking areas. In heavy Dhaka traffic, expect around 10–11 km/L, with mileage affected by long idling, frequent acceleration and air-conditioner use. The smooth CVT also makes stop-and-go driving less tiring.

Routine maintenance is generally manageable because Toyota parts and mechanics are widely available in Bangladesh. A basic oil and filter service can commonly fall around ৳4,000–৳7,000, depending on oil grade, parts and workshop. Routine yearly maintenance for a healthy example may be around ৳15,000–৳25,000, while an older or higher-mileage car can require ৳30,000–৳50,000 or more when suspension, brakes, battery, tyres or other wear items need replacement. CVT servicing should be performed correctly because neglected transmission maintenance can become expensive.

Check the engine, CVT transmission, suspension, brakes, AC, electrical systems, steering, tyres and underbody carefully. Inspect the auction sheet and chassis information when available, and look for accident repairs, repainting, rust, oil leaks and uneven panel gaps. During a test drive, check for CVT hesitation, abnormal noise, vibration, delayed acceleration or warning lights. Inspect the cooling system and AC performance, especially for Bangladesh's hot climate. Mileage should also be compared with the interior, steering wheel, pedals and overall wear rather than accepted without verification.

The main weaknesses are modest performance from the 1.5-litre engine, relatively low ground clearance and an aging interior compared with newer cars. The 109 PS engine is adequate for normal driving but can feel less powerful with five occupants, luggage and air-conditioning. The sedan's 160 mm clearance requires care on large Bangladeshi speed breakers and rough roads. The infotainment and connectivity systems also feel dated compared with newer Toyota models. On used examples, poor maintenance can create significantly higher ownership costs, particularly around the CVT, suspension and electrical equipment.
