The Yaris Cross has been sold with several grades and powertrain combinations depending on model year and market. The Japanese lineup includes X, G and Z, alongside petrol and hybrid versions and, depending on specification, FWD or E-Four AWD.
The X is the simpler entry point, concentrating on the core Yaris Cross package and lower purchase cost.
The G moves into the middle of the range and adds more comfort and convenience equipment.
The Z is the premium mainstream grade and is the version most commonly associated with the higher-equipment Yaris Cross seen in Bangladesh. It brings larger wheels, more upscale interior equipment, power driver's seat, leather-wrapped steering and a broader convenience package. The current 2026 Japanese FWD Hybrid Z is listed at ¥2,992,000 before local import-related costs.
There is also the Z Adventure in relevant model years, which gives the Yaris Cross a more rugged appearance and additional exterior-focused equipment.
For Bangladesh, the Hybrid Z FWD is a particularly sensible specification if fuel economy and everyday city usability are priorities. E-Four provides additional traction but carries extra weight and a higher price.
The overall Yaris Cross formula is remarkably simple: Yaris-sized practicality, crossover ground clearance, hybrid efficiency and Toyota's familiar reliability.
It is not the biggest crossover, fastest crossover or most luxurious crossover. But as an everyday Bangladesh car, that restraint is precisely what makes it so useful.
