Question 1

What is the Toyota Hilux Z price in Bangladesh?

Accepted Answer

Toyota Hilux Z price in Bangladesh is around Tk 65–72 lakh. Price depends on the Japanese purchase price, shipping, customs duty, registration, mileage, condition, auction history and dealer margin.

Question 2

What is the Toyota Hilux Z engine and performance?

Accepted Answer

The latest Toyota Hilux Z uses a 2,754cc 1GD-FTV four-cylinder turbo-diesel engine producing 204 PS and 500 Nm. It uses a 6-speed automatic transmission and part-time 4WD. The strong low- and mid-range torque makes it particularly useful for carrying loads, overtaking on highways and driving on rough Bangladesh roads. Estimated 0–100 km/h acceleration is around 10.5–11.5 seconds, depending on road, fuel, load and testing conditions.

Question 3

What mileage does the Toyota Hilux Z give in Bangladesh?

Accepted Answer

For Bangladesh driving conditions, expect approximately 7–9 km/L in Dhaka/city traffic, 10–12 km/L on highways and around 8.5–10.5 km/L combined. Heavy congestion, frequent air-conditioner use, idling, passengers, cargo and aggressive acceleration can reduce city mileage. The official Japanese WLTC figure is 11.9 km/L, but that should not be presented as Bangladesh real-world mileage.

Question 4

Is this Hilux available as brand new, reconditioned or used in Bangladesh?

Accepted Answer

Yes, Hilux is available in all 3 conditions mostly, so you can find your preferred condition within budget.

Question 5

Is the Toyota Hilux Z 4WD?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The latest Toyota Hilux Z comes with part-time 4WD. It is designed to provide additional traction on mud, gravel, wet roads, steep surfaces and difficult rural terrain. The latest generation also incorporates terrain-management technology and a rear differential lock, making it considerably more capable away from paved roads than an ordinary rear-wheel-drive pickup.

Question 6

Is the Toyota Hilux Z suitable for Bangladesh roads?

Accepted Answer

Yes, particularly for buyers who regularly travel outside major cities. Its 215 mm ground clearance, ladder-frame chassis, 4WD system and strong 500 Nm diesel torque suit broken roads, rural routes, construction areas and long-distance travel. However, its 5.3-metre length and 1.885-metre width make it noticeably harder to manoeuvre through narrow Dhaka streets, crowded markets and tight parking spaces. For predominantly urban use, its size is the biggest practical drawback.

Question 7

How much does the Toyota Hilux Z cost to maintain in Bangladesh?

Accepted Answer

Routine maintenance should be manageable because Toyota diesel parts and servicing are widely understood in Bangladesh, but the latest Hilux Z is not a cheap vehicle to maintain. Engine oil, filters, brake components, tyres and suspension parts are considerably more expensive than those of ordinary Toyota passenger cars. A buyer should also keep a larger reserve for 4WD components, sensors, electronics and diesel emission equipment. Maintenance cost will depend heavily on mileage, servicing quality and parts source.

Question 8

What safety features does the latest Toyota Hilux Z have?

Accepted Answer

The 2026 Hilux Z has a substantially more advanced safety package than older Hilux models. Equipment includes Toyota Safety Sense, pre-collision warning and braking, lane departure warning, lane tracing assistance, adaptive cruise control, automatic high beam, road-sign recognition, blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic-related assistance. It also has multiple airbags, ABS, EBD, Brake Assist, stability control, traction control, hill-start assistance, tyre-pressure monitoring and parking-support technology.

Question 9

What should I check before buying a reconditioned Toyota Hilux Z in Bangladesh?

Accepted Answer

Check the Japanese auction sheet, chassis number, export certificate, manufacturing date, auction grade and mileage history before paying. Then inspect the engine for leaks or abnormal noise, automatic transmission operation, turbocharger, DPF/emissions system, 4WD engagement, differential, suspension, brakes, steering, tyres and underbody. Carefully inspect the chassis for accident repairs, flood damage and corrosion. Also verify that all ADAS sensors, cameras, infotainment functions and Toyota connected features operate correctly.

Question 10

Is the Toyota Hilux Z worth buying in Bangladesh?

Accepted Answer

The Hilux Z makes the most sense for someone who genuinely needs a premium modern pickup with 4WD, high ground clearance, strong diesel torque, cargo capacity and advanced safety technology. It is particularly suited to highway travel, rural Bangladesh, business use, outdoor activities and buyers who value Toyota durability. Its biggest issue is price: at roughly Tk 1.30–1.50 crore in the expected reconditioned market, it represents a major investment. Buyers should therefore compare its actual landed cost and condition against other 4WD pickups before purchasing.
