Question 1

What is the Toyota Harrier price in Bangladesh?

Accepted Answer

Toyota Harrier price in Bangladesh is currently around Tk 75–115 lakh for reconditioned models. Prices vary significantly according to model year, hybrid or petrol powertrain, Z/Z Leather grade, auction grade, mileage, roof options, body kit and overall condition.

Question 2

How is the Toyota Harrier's performance, acceleration and braking?

Accepted Answer

The 2.5L Hybrid Harrier produces around 218 hp in FWD form and 222 hp with E-Four AWD, with a 0–100 km/h time of roughly 8.1 seconds. Its top speed is around 180 km/h. The hybrid system gives the Harrier smooth low-speed acceleration, particularly useful in Dhaka traffic. Braking uses ventilated discs at the front and disc brakes at the rear, supported by ABS, EBD and brake assist. Exact braking distance varies with tyres, road surface, vehicle load and brake condition, so a fixed Bangladesh stopping-distance figure would be misleading.

Question 3

What mileage does the Toyota Harrier provide in Bangladesh?

Accepted Answer

A Toyota Harrier Hybrid generally delivers around 12–15 km/L in Dhaka-style city driving, 17–21 km/L on highways and approximately 15–18 km/L combined when driven normally. Heavy traffic, prolonged idling, frequent air-conditioner use, aggressive acceleration and poor tyre condition can reduce city mileage considerably. The Japanese hybrid's official test economy is substantially higher than what owners should expect on congested Bangladeshi roads. For Bangladesh buyers, the hybrid is particularly attractive because its strongest advantage appears during stop-and-go urban driving.

Question 4

Is this Harrier available as brand new, reconditioned or used in Bangladesh?

Accepted Answer

Yes, Harrier is available in all 3 conditions mostly, so you can find your preferred condition within budget.

Question 5

Which Toyota Harrier grade is best to buy in Bangladesh?

Accepted Answer

The main Japanese grades include S, G, Z and Z Leather Package, with hybrid versions following similar grade structures. The G Hybrid is a good choice for buyers prioritising value and fuel economy, while Z Hybrid provides a stronger balance of premium equipment and price. The Z Leather Package is the best choice for buyers wanting a luxury-oriented Harrier with leather upholstery, power seats and additional premium equipment. For most Bangladesh buyers, a clean Hybrid Z or Z Leather Package with good auction history is the sweet spot.

Question 6

Is the Toyota Harrier suitable for Bangladesh roads?

Accepted Answer

Yes, but it is better suited to paved urban roads, highways and reasonably maintained suburban roads than extremely broken roads. Its approximately 190–195mm ground clearance is useful for Bangladesh, but the long 4,740mm body and 1,855mm width make narrow roads and congested Dhaka streets less effortless than driving a Corolla or Axio. Large speed breakers should still be approached carefully, particularly with 19-inch wheels. The suspension provides a comfortable ride, and the SUV's elevated driving position works well for Bangladesh traffic. For areas with severely damaged roads, deep potholes or frequent flooding, careful driving remains necessary.

Question 7

Is Toyota Harrier good for city driving?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The 2.5L hybrid powertrain is particularly well suited to city driving because the electric motor provides smooth immediate response and reduces fuel consumption during low-speed stop-and-go traffic. The automatic e-CVT requires no conventional gear shifting, making the Harrier easy to drive in Dhaka congestion. The cabin is quiet and comfortable, while parking sensors and the optional or grade-dependent 360-degree camera help with the Harrier's relatively large dimensions. The main disadvantages in Dhaka are its width, long body and higher purchase price.

Question 8

How much does it cost to maintain a Toyota Harrier in Bangladesh?

Accepted Answer

Routine maintenance is generally manageable because Toyota parts and mechanics are widely available in Bangladesh, but a newer Harrier is more expensive to maintain than an older Corolla or Axio. A realistic routine-service budget is approximately Tk 15,000–30,000 per year, excluding fuel, insurance and major repairs. Owners should keep a larger reserve for tyres, brakes, suspension components, 12V battery, air-conditioning work and hybrid-system diagnostics. A reconditioned Harrier with poor auction history can quickly become expensive, so purchase condition matters more than simply choosing the lowest advertised price.

Question 9

What should I check before buying a used Toyota Harrier?

Accepted Answer

Check the auction sheet, chassis number, mileage consistency, accident history and underbody condition first. Then inspect the engine, e-CVT operation, hybrid battery condition, 12V battery, suspension, steering, brakes, AC and electrical systems. Check for warning lights, water damage, rust, repaired panels and poor repainting. On Z and Z Leather cars, verify expensive equipment such as the panoramic roof, power tailgate, leather seats, JBL audio, 360-degree camera and driver-assistance systems. A proper diagnostic scan and professional inspection are strongly recommended before payment.

Question 10

What are the main disadvantages of the Toyota Harrier?

Accepted Answer

The biggest disadvantages are its high Bangladesh purchase price, relatively large exterior dimensions and limited practicality on very narrow or severely damaged roads. The Harrier is comfortable rather than sporty, so buyers expecting aggressive acceleration or sharp handling may find it too relaxed. High-grade Z Leather models can also become expensive because of their premium equipment and larger wheels. For reconditioned cars, condition is another major concern: a cheap Harrier with accident history, poor repair work or questionable mileage can cost far more to own than a more expensive but cleaner example.

Question 11

Should I buy a Toyota Harrier in Bangladesh?

Accepted Answer

Yes, if you want a premium Toyota SUV with comfort, hybrid fuel economy, modern safety and strong resale appeal. The 2.5L Hybrid is especially attractive for buyers who regularly drive in Dhaka traffic. The Harrier offers a more premium experience than a Corolla or Axio while remaining easier to live with than many European luxury SUVs. However, it is expensive, large and not the ideal choice for extremely rough roads. Before buying, compare it with the Toyota RAV4, Lexus NX, Toyota Crown Sport and other premium Japanese SUVs and prioritise auction history and actual vehicle condition over accessories.
