Question 1

Toyota Aqua 1st Gen 2011–2021 models price in Bangladesh?

Accepted Answer

first-generation Toyota Aqua (2011-2021) models generally falls around ৳10–23 lakh in Bangladesh depending on model year, grade, mileage, registration status, hybrid battery condition etc,

Question 2

How is the Toyota Aqua's performance and acceleration?

Accepted Answer

Toyota Aqua uses a 1.5L 1NZ-FXE hybrid system producing 100 PS system output. The electric motor produces 45 kW and 169 Nm, while the petrol engine produces 74 PS and 111 Nm. The system is tuned more for smooth and economical driving than aggressive acceleration. A commonly published figure for 0–100 km/h is approximately 12.1 seconds, although actual performance varies with battery condition, load, tyres and road conditions.

Question 3

What mileage does the Toyota Aqua give in Bangladesh?

Accepted Answer

In normal Bangladesh driving, a healthy Toyota Aqua 1st Gen can realistically return around 18–22 km/L in city traffic, 22–27 km/L on highways and roughly 20–24 km/L combined. Heavy Dhaka traffic, long periods of idling, aggressive acceleration, air-conditioning use, tyre condition and hybrid-battery health can reduce mileage.

Question 4

Which Toyota Aqua (2011-2021) grade is good in Bangladesh?

Accepted Answer

The main first-generation grades include L, S and G, along with special versions such as S Style Black, G Soft Leather Selection, X-Urban and GR Sport. L focuses on basic economy, S provides a useful balance of equipment and price, while G adds more comfort and convenience features.

Question 5

Is Toyota Aqua suitable for Bangladesh roads?

Accepted Answer

Yes, particularly for Dhaka city driving and paved highways. Its compact body, light steering, 4.8-metre turning radius and hybrid drivetrain make it easy to manoeuvre through congested streets and tight parking areas. The main limitation is its 140 mm ground clearance, so you need to approach large speed breakers, deep potholes and badly damaged roads carefully. It is much better suited to paved urban roads than consistently rough or unpaved routes.

Question 6

Is Toyota Aqua good for city driving?

Accepted Answer

This is where the Aqua is at its best.

Its small footprint, hybrid electric assistance, light weight and easy CVT operation make it very suitable for stop-and-go traffic. Bangladesh's congested urban environment also allows the hybrid system to recover energy through regenerative braking and reduce petrol consumption.

Question 7

Is Toyota Aqua good for city driving in Dhaka?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The compact dimensions, smooth E-CVT and hybrid motor make the Aqua particularly easy to drive in congested Dhaka traffic. The electric motor provides smooth low-speed response, while regenerative braking helps recover energy during repeated stopping and slowing. Its small turning radius also makes U-turns, narrow streets and parking considerably easier than with a larger sedan or SUV.

Question 8

How much does it cost to maintain a Toyota Aqua 1st gen in Bangladesh?

Accepted Answer

Routine maintenance is generally manageable, but the hybrid battery is the major long-term component to inspect. Normal servicing involves engine oil, filters, brake inspection, coolant, tyres and suspension components. Actual costs vary significantly by workshop, parts quality and vehicle condition, so a fixed yearly figure would be misleading. For an older Aqua, keeping an additional repair reserve is sensible because suspension, air-conditioning, battery and electrical components can require attention as the vehicle ages.

Question 9

What should you check before buying a used Toyota Aqua 2011-2021?

Accepted Answer

Check the hybrid battery health, hybrid warning lights, diagnostic codes, engine, inverter, transmission/hybrid drive operation, suspension, brakes, AC, tyres and electrical systems. Also inspect the chassis for accident repairs, check for rust and oil/coolant leaks, verify mileage against the auction sheet and inspect the vehicle's service history. For a Japanese reconditioned Aqua, the auction sheet and chassis number should be carefully verified before purchase.

Question 10

What are the main disadvantages of the Toyota Aqua 1st Gen 2011-2021?

Accepted Answer

biggest drawbacks are 140 mm ground clearance, modest acceleration, limited rear-seat space and ageing technology compared with newer hybrid hatchbacks. The car is also now an older-generation vehicle, so condition becomes increasingly important. A poorly maintained Aqua can have much higher ownership costs than a healthy example, particularly if the hybrid battery, suspension or air-conditioning system needs major work.

Question 11

Should you buy a Toyota Aqua 1st Gen in Bangladesh?

Accepted Answer

The first-generation Aqua makes sense if you want a fuel-efficient, compact and easy-to-drive Toyota hybrid for city use. Its biggest strengths are low fuel consumption, proven hybrid technology, easy manoeuvrability and strong availability of used vehicles and parts. However, you should pay particular attention to hybrid battery health, accident history, mileage and maintenance condition. A clean, well-maintained Aqua can be considerably more attractive than a cheaper example with questionable history.
