All three use rear-wheel drive, while the Japanese range uses an 8-speed automatic; the RZ is also offered with a six-speed manual.

Supra SZ can handle good paved roads and highways, but its low sports-car body requires care on Bangladesh's larger speed breakers, potholes, broken pavement and steep parking ramps. With roughly 120 mm ground clearance, it is considerably less forgiving than a Toyota Corolla, Premio or SUV. The low body is particularly noticeable on poorly maintained Dhaka roads.

Yes, if you want a compact performance car rather than a practical family vehicle. Its 2.0L turbo engine, 8-speed automatic transmission and relatively light 1410 kg body make it responsive in urban driving. The engine also consumes less fuel than the 3.0L RZ. However, heavy Dhaka traffic prevents you from using much of its performance, while the low seating position and ground clearance require extra care around speed breakers and potholes.

2.0L SZ should generally cost less to maintain than the 3.0L RZ because its engine, brakes and tyres are less performance-oriented. A sensible budget for routine servicing can be around ৳30,000–৳60,000 per year, excluding fuel, insurance, tyres and major repairs. A higher reserve is sensible for an older reconditioned car because imported BMW/Toyota-specific components and electronic parts can be considerably more expensive than ordinary Toyota parts.

Check the Japanese auction sheet, chassis history, mileage, accident repairs, engine, turbocharger, 8-speed transmission, cooling system, suspension, steering, brakes, run-flat tyres and electronics. Pay particular attention to underbody damage because the Supra's low ground clearance makes the underside vulnerable to impacts. Also check whether the car has aftermarket ECU tuning, exhaust, suspension or other modifications.

The biggest disadvantages are only two seats, low ground clearance, limited luggage space and relatively basic equipment compared with the SZ-R and RZ. The SZ also has the four-speaker audio system and less premium seat/interior equipment. Its 197 PS engine is still capable of 0–100 km/h in about 6.5 seconds, so it is not slow. The trade-offs are the two-seat cabin, low ground clearance and simpler equipment. A clean, well-maintained car with a documented Japanese history is particularly important.
